Bad Customer Service in Singapore

I last blogged bad customer service in Singapore in Jan 2005 and now I wanna complain again...

Have been experiencing all the crappy customer services recently...

Just mention a few...

1. At 翡翠...

having lunch with my colleagues. I had a bowl of plain soup noodle. When I finished my noodles and still enjoying the soup with other dishes which I was sharing with the rest, the waitress came and wanted to collect back the bowl without asking me.

Me: ehhhh, 不要收先
Waitress: (put back the bowl) 很好喝meh?

Xia mi?! Got this kinda thing ah? Waitress questioning how nice their own food is....

2. At SK G2000...

trying out pants and asked for a smaller size from staff A when she walked past me. Then staff B happened to walk past at the same time, talk dunno what to A and A answered "没有了". Both me and my bro thought A was talking to B. So I waited outside the changing room while my bro was still browsing the clothes.

A came back and told me, "没有了. 刚才不是跟你讲了loh." Aiyoh, who the h*** knows who she's talking to. She din even gimme the most basic eye contact.

3. Still at SK G2000...

Now is B's turn...sigh... Me, my bro and his gf were checking other design for smaller size, and one of us proposed to ask staff B who is approaching about the size of a new design. Before we can open our mouth, staff B super chop chop, "这个最后了" then super chop chop hang the clothes and walked away.

Simi lah....is that too efficient or bad service??

My bro said that was because we dressed sloppily. C'mon, it's only 3 min from my house, how glam they want me to dress??

Then now he suggested that we should write a complain letter, but i think no use lah 'cos I saw this email this morning....

Hi Friends

Please read the emails exchanged between myself and Carrefour. It is very disappointing to know that they give their usual msg to their customers' feedbacks. What is worse they even forwarded their internal emails for me to read

This is an excellent example of what not to do.

Please forward this email to your friends for their reading.

Thomas

Subject: Poor customer service at Carrefour

Dear Sir/Mdm

I was at Carrefour-Suntec City - on the night of 15/10/2006 to buy thefollowing items, a laptop, a fax machine, a DVD recorder and a roadbike. I left with only the laptop and the DVD recorder. I did not buy the roadbike because the staff serving me
could not tell me the difference between a $900 bike and a $300 bike except that they were both had aluminium frame. I did not buy the fax machine because no one bother to serve me despite standing at the fax machine section for 15 mins. I approached a staff at the adjacent section selling telephone but all he told me was the staff selling fax machine is not around and did not offer any assistance.

On the 21/10/06 I returned to Carrefour - Suntec City - to get a refundfor the laptop as I had discovered that the laptop only supported Windows XP and could not be used to run my DOS programme. The salesman who sold me the laptop 6 days earlier was very unhappy and refuses a refund of the laptop citing various lame excuses. He finally agree to a refund after I went through Carrefour's refund
policy with him. At this point he make a photocopy of my identity card claiming
the company's need to track my refund history. I was outrage and disappointed at
being treated like a criminal and asked for the duty manager. The duty manager arrived and agreed that it was not Carrefour's policy to make photocopyof customer's IC but he was no better than the salesman for he wanted to take down
my particular's instead.

I am very disappointed with the Carrefour's staff, from the lack of product knowledge to the lack of service and finally to their staff's attitude of negating on the company's promise of a refund if goods were returned intact. They should not bother to track my refund history as I will not be shopping there anymore.

Dr. Lee Boon Kok

See. Complaining is no use lah. Waiting 15 min for a Carrefour staff to approach customer is a norm too...not surprising at all.

Pai seh ah, the mood is just right for all these....hee...

Looking forward to the steamboat on Monday night. Let's get fat together.
