Chalet~

Went chalet on Sat...long time nv go chalet liao, so exciting! It's Li Ling's chalet...celebrate her 23rd birthday!

Went home after law lecture and eat my mother's prawn mee then chop chop went Downtown East...thought maybe can help out something. Reached there slightly before 4.30pm. Called Li Ling.... The mighty mighty birthday girl is not even there....wah biang....she just finished bathing when I called her and she said she'll be reaching at 5pm...yah right....as if she's always on time. Anyway...

Li Ling: Eheh...go outside help me buy charcoal and oyster sauce.
Me: Outside?
Li Ling: Outside lah
Me: Outside where?
Li Ling: Okok...you go Cheers buy.
Me: Where is Cheers?
Li Ling: Cheers is at *blah blah blah....
Me: Ermmm...ok...i go find.
(5 min. later)
Li Ling: Help me buy 6 bottles of drinks
Me: (!!!!!!!!!!) orh.....those 1.5litre har?
Li Ling: Yah...just get what you wanna drink...
Me: Orh...
Li Ling: Then meet me at the security there
Me: Where?
Li Ling: Security there. Near the check in there.
Me: You mean there's a security now?
Li Ling: Wah biang....you long time nv go Downtown East har?
Me: Haa.....yah! Nvm...i go find.

Finished shopping....my arms almost broke....used my super fast mental calculation, the total weight I was carrying is ~10kg! Alamak...i'm suppose to go chalet enjoy life, not go NS training wor... Finally found the security checkpoint...luckily not far, and settled down at a bench nearby....just beside the nice bluish green/greenish blue dustbin.

The top of the dustbin there still got burning cigrattes somemore leh... Super buai tahan....went to find some junk to mian huo...

Then I got super bored and looked around.... Had some findings:

1. Even the aunties nowadays wear nice (eg: white shorts with pink floral design...so sweet)....or is it the young people nowadays wear more and more like auntie?
2. Need to pay $1 coin per entry?!?! What the....
3. Hoho....can see pretty girls swimming wor....saw one with super big tatoo on her flat stomach...cool~

Finally at 5.10pm...
Li Ling: Hello hello....you buy all those things liao ah?
Me: Yup
Li Ling: So you carrying the charcoal ah?
Me: Yah... Where are you?
Li Ling: At entrance there. Thought you can come help us carry things...too many things...but you carry the charcoal...
Me: Ermm.....the charcoal not heavy lah, but the 6 bottles of drinks... Why don't you make a few trips? Haa...
Li Ling: okok nvm....I go over now.
Me: (PHEW!)

5.20pm. Got the room....Blk D Room 1422. Quite a nice room. Very cooling. First thing, go loo. Forgot to use loo before getting my butt out of the house. Quite a neat toilet wor....with many rolls of poor quality toilet paper for us to use...that's so nice of the management.

Then at around 6pm, the very first guy came so he die die have to take up the responsibility of setting up the fire....this is the charcoal-fire starter formation he had.



And of course, he failed.

Fortunately we have *tah dah* Ms Xiang Ling!!! And Peilin came with her! Pleasant surprise wor...



Ms Xiang Ling having had lotsa experience of BBQ outside her house along the corridor, she set up the fire quickly....but by then already 7+pm liao. And while waiting for the man to set up fire, we prepared the food and I asked Peilin...

Anyway, the food is more tempting....so we continued preparing the food...hoo... We had great food....chicken wings, chicken fillets, crab sticks, fishballs, Hang Zi, Sausages, Prawns and even shell-less prawns wor!!! And all taste superb....not just one or two good only....is all leh!! wah biang...it's good to have experienced BBQ people around....

9+pm. Cut cake!! Tiramisu Cake from Sweet Secrets. They bought the same cake for me last last year....and this time round, it still tastes great!!

The guy in black is Li Ling's boyfriend, cutting the cake for her. The girl sitting on the bed is Xiao Tian....super good chicken wings BBQ-er!! And also the blurry red figure behind....dun worry...this is not the movie Shutter, that was the walking Xiang Ling who was wearing red that day.



Reached home at 11+pm....cannot wash hair 'cos if wash and wait for it to dry then I dun need to sleep liao (fyi: I dun use hair dryer 'cos it really dries up hair...haa...cold joke) so I wrapped up my hair with a towel and giap, and slept. And I have to wake up a few times in the middle of the night to adjust the towel...so tiring... Next day morning, chop chop wash.... Still can smell the BBQ smoke in my hair... evening wash again....still can smell the BBQ smoke leh... Just now went wash again....much better but still got a bit bit left....then i realised...hohoho...the problem is not with my hair, nor the shampoo or the water temperature... Is the towel (not the same as the one I used to wrap hair hor)!!! The smell is left there so is like I'm wiping the smell on and off my hair....wah biang....

Ok...that's all about the chalet...at least Peilin was part of it and you all can hear a bit more about her liao...hee..

Wild Wild Wet

i went to Wild Wild Wet @ downtown east on mon!!!

kekeekeke it was quite fun there... but the rides cannot be compared to the previous Fantasy Island... they've got tis tsunami wave thing... it's really quite strong when it reaches the shore leh... instead in the deeper waters, it's actually quite easy cos u jus need to follow the waves n go wif the flow...

the other rides r quite standard la... but a word of advice is to avoid wkends n peak days... cos it can get real crowded then u got to queue for rides n also the bathroom will be disgustingly wet.... the mon i went was gd cos no crowds n bathroom very clean n not many ppl!!!

okies... i gtg... so much for WWW....

Kenna Discriminated and Discriminating Others

We've finally got our law tutorial slot. I super suey leh....got my 7th choice, which is from 9am - 10am, then a longgg break to my 12pm to 2pm law lecture. After discussing with my nus friend Ghim Hong, we guessed what NUS "balloting" system did was to put all people according to the time of their choice submission, then randomly choose a group of 35 students ('cos 35 students in a class). That's why my 3 friends who register at the same time but later than me all got into the same class, which is also their 1st choice. But XXX doesn't think likewise....

Me: *blah blah blah* yea.....i think that's how the system works....
XXX: no leh....i dun think so. I think the tutorial is allocated according to the students' grades.
Me: Impossible.
XXX: You see, blah blah blah.... got into the same class , and you and Sharon got into another same class.
Me: Cannot be loh..... One thing is "dododooodooooodododoodoo bsssss bssssss doodoodoodooodooo bssssss" (masked by Ah Pig's request) , and the system can't be so discriminating right...
XXX: no...really...think about it. I think is by grades.
Me: BU KE NENG!

Me: My theory is much more logical loh....their system won't like that discriminate students with bad grades lah....

At first I was still pondering about whether the system really so unfair, then last night this suddenly struck me: XXX had just directly or indirectly discriminated me. Maybe XXX just trying to be funny or just wanna suan me.....but this is a really bad way of doing it loh.... But as a self-psychoing expert, I told myself: it's okay....everyone sure have prejudice over certain things/people loh....so for XXX, XXX's discrimination is only discriminating people who get lower than 2nd upper hon. To actually think about it ah....XXX was asking me very nicely regarding some fyp problems before we discussed about the system, then after that like that....alamak.... HUMANS!

Eg of Discrimination:
In Amazing Race 6, Kendra and Freddy went to India. Kendra saw the poverty there and said, "The people here are so poor yet they are still breeding." Best right....Indians are not animals loh...

I met this non-chinese stranger yesterday who sat beside me in the PC cluster and asked me to teach him MATLAB (a programming software). But he has NEVER do any programming before....he only know what 'for loop', 'while loop', 'if-else statements' are for. After that I realised....oh man...this man is here to take Master in Electrical Engineering and is doing Control Simulations, so by right he should know at least a bit on programming right....but ok lah....maybe he got his bachelor degree from some ulu ulu university. After teaching him the basic things (even taught him what History in MATLAB is for), i told him that I'm quite new to MATLAB also but I found the MATLAB HELP very useful and comprehensive and has almost everything...then he okok....and we went back to our work. But after that he kept asking me a lot of questions...even asked me to help him search for some MATLAB functions...wah biang....and also stopped me while i'm in the midst of an intense conversation with my friends loh.... So I complained and complained to my another group of friends last evening....and shun bian complained about some other people i've met whom are of the same race as him. Then my friend said I'm racist....which is true at that point lah...din mean to say such racist things at that time but I really met a few pissed-off cum same-race people on the same day loh...maybe i really dun understand their culture lah...

So that's all about discrimination, how I kenna discriminated and how I discriminate people...

But then I'm still buai song about what XXX said yesterday...if XXX want, XXX can discriminate me behind my back then at least I won't know right but XXX said right in my face leh....wah biang! I'm going to ask XXX about it again and get things straight...... Humph!



P/S: Is the song nice??? Dunno what language is that leh....just thought it sound nice...but you girls can feel free to change the song hor...I won't mind.

Singapore's customer service really cmi....fortunately it's just those small bunch of hai qun zhi ma...

Case 1: Nova
My mother and bro went Nova to buy sofa. According to the newspaper, there's a 3+2 set...super cheap, selling at only $160+. The salesman approached them and asked they looking for, and after knowing they want the cheapest sofa in town, he started saying things like "I know what you all want lah....you all always want the cheapest.... The making of the sofa blah鲁...and you all only wanna pay so little...." Wah biang!!!! Super mei limao leh! It's only natural for consumers to find cheap and good stuff mah....he really care so much, y ask....DUH!

Case 2: CTC Holidays
Have been surfing these days to look for a cheap and good (again...) group tour to Europe 'cos me and my friend realised our budget may allow us to go on a more luxury tour but at short length of stay lah... Anyway, saw a really attractive package from CTC Holidays but they never put the price, so I phoned them to ask.

Though NUS came up with the bidding system for selecting modules, they still stick with the old sys for choosing tutorials, i.e. via balloting. Phobias

My bro has a book called "Understanding Phobias" and I realised I have been suffering from Felinophobia (Fear of cats) since young.

When I was staying in NUS hall, I suffered from Coprastasophobia (Fear of constipation), so I have to eat a cup of yogurt every night while watching my ma jun wei on Channel U.

I frequently suffered from Sequipedalophobia (Fear of long words)...i see big ang moh word i scare...

Met a minor accident in Genting, and I have Epistaxiophobia (Fear of nosebleeds) ever since then....

And definitely Pocrescophobia (Fear of obesity)!! My brother said I'll soon develop Anorexia 'cos he can feel my spine (so duh...), but then I don't have Antlophobia (Fear of food)...in fact I love food so my brother is WRONG! Wait till he see viv.....he'll definitely say she's suffering from Bulimia...

Just hope that I won't develop Anuptaphobia (Fear of being single!) and Venustraphobia (Fear of beautiful woman) or i'll hate myself....hoo!

ANG MOHS ARE NOT GOOD AFTERALL!!

Already had such a bad day dealing with some stupid biology subject i took in the morning - that the lecturer went soooo fast I've already lost pace with him. Now still trying desperately to get on track. HMmm, for every1's info, I'm majoring in Biomedical so now facing the music of CELLS...reAlly music. >.< Cuz i'm not taking 1, but 3 biology subjects this semester. Piangz... can see my death any minute. i really wonder how Wei Lin actually survived in NP. How did you ever study?!! Haizz...

ok, back to ground zero. YAH, then in the afternoon i had another biology subject. It's Biomechantronics. Something related to robotics, but not entirely. Then came the BIG news that some1 wanted the lecture to be pushed forward an hour on friday (our class on friday is 530-630) BUT i've got GE from 230-530 on friday!!! (GE= General Elective) And u know what? That Ang Moh actually told me right in the face that IF he can find an empty LT (Lecture Theatre) for 430-530, he'll go ahead.

REason: cuz only i cannot make it.

!!!!!!!!$#$%$%#^# Where got such a thing one ahz? ................ see la, at this hour im still fuming mad. hopefully he cannot find any empty rooms. but then again, our school so big, anywhere also can find one AT THAT HOUR. .... so moral of the story, ANg mohs not that good after all... THey just care about themselves.

But, im not gg to let myself be defeated. ahahhaa, just emailed my GE tutor asking her to push forward the class an hour. hehe. hopefully it'll work!

What a STRESSFUL day!

Woke up late this morning ('cos last night cannot sleep due to my 3+ hours afternoon nap).....happily brushing my teeth when suddeny something strikes me: YOU NEED AT LEAST 18MCs FOR EExxxx MODULES TO GRADUATE!

KAO!!! Tried to recall what modules i took that are under EExxxx....industrial control sys, digital signal processing, communications, fuzzy and neural sys, distributed autonomous robotics sys......NO MORE!! 3 MCs each meaning....15 MCs only!!! Jialat! This means i have to drop my microelectronics thin film module which is CNxxxx (not EExxxx) that cost me 800 points during bidding (Info for tilda and viv: NUS very smart....they wanna train their students to bid for COE, so they came up with a bidding module system....JOKERS!)

Gan jeong gan jeong......came up with a few plans:
Plan A: Dun care! Just drop thin film module and show hand for advanced control
Plan B: If adv control too expensive (2800+ points for the past few rounds), then take power electronics with ah pig (but the exam is on the same day as another paper.....i don't want....SOB)
Plan C: If power electronics too expensive, then take analog electronics alone (but it has project....i don't want....SOB)
Plan D: Go to undergraduate office or ECE office and request for appeal
Plan E: Knock down the prof's office and hug his leg.

As a demure girl, I decided to take plan A first. If die die plan A dun work, then plan B, plan C. Plan E will come before plan D 'cos i trust the profs more the the staff.....sigh....
